APPLICATION PROCESS:
- Attend the Open House
We strongly encourage you to learn more about ALPHA by attending our Open House. Students will give you a tour of the building. Teachers, parents, and students will give you a sense of what ALPHA’s alternative pedagogy looks like in practice. You’ll get a chance to ask questions and chat with current staff and families. And there’ll be food!

To get a sense of ALPHA in action, we strongly recommend that you visit during the school day. You can sign up for a visit during the ALPHA Open House, or by calling us at (416) 393-1880 to schedule a visit.

Applications to ALPHA and all other elementary alternative schools in the TDSB are handled by the TDSB’s central online application process. The online application form opens on Monday, January 4, 2027, and closes at 4pm on Friday, January 22, 2027.
Please visit the TDSB’s Elementary Alternative Schools Applications and Admissions page, and their FAQ page, for more information about the randomized selection process. The details of the process are somewhat complex (particularly if you wish to apply to more than one school, or if you are applying for more than one child), so we recommend reading up on the process well ahead of the deadline.
